I am going to out myself as the resident old man in this group but Star Trek TNG is the Sci-Fi I grew up on. I was in thrid grade when TNG came on the air in 1988 and I know I am in the minoirity for thinking Wesley Crusher but I was the perfect age at the time.

I like the cerbal nature of Jean-Luc Picard... and how he was a contrast from Kirk. I like how Picard used diplonicy and wit to get out of a problem
