Another Day in America... Empty Another Day in America...

This week we say yet another instance of gun violence here in the USA... This time a TSA employee was killed at Los Angeles International Airport. These seem all too common here yet I don't here about them in the UK... Do mass shootings ever occur in the UK?

Nope. There's hardly any gun crime as guns are illegal here and thus very few people have them. However, instead there is a lot of knife crime in the UK. Usually in the big cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester - as a resident of Birmingham, I can definitely tell you that stabbings have worrying gone up recently this year - but stabbings do happen elsewhere around the country, too. The last reported gun crime/mass shooting in the UK was about a year or two ago. Maybe three.

Personally, I think people should have the right to be able to defend themselves, their families and their properties but... Guns? Is a gun really necessary? And with how easy it is to get a gun in America, it's even more ludicrous. I completely respect America's strong belief in the 2nd Amendment, but does "the right to bear arms" HAVE to involve guns? Personally I don't think so. Guns are clearly harming more people than they are protecting people. I think America should look for another way to keep the 2nd Amendment but to replace guns with something like 'physical force' or something. Basically, just punch the guy if he intrudes your home. LOL!

We where actually going over it in PIT, it's a real shame that we don't have a ban on guns, unless used for self defense...
