Kambei's Green Lantern Customs Update #4

Been a Green Lantern fan since the early 1970s. Always wanted a set of GLfigures in 3.75 inch, but the Mattel DC Infinte Heroes figures just didn't cut it for me. Took me about 6 months to finish the set. Going to put up a few pictures at a time. You will understand when you see the full set. Posting all the figs together woulod be overload.

Thanks. I used the Build'n'Brawl wrestling figures for the main part, with Star Wars and Indiana jones parts thrown in where necessary. Some of the heads are cast from the DC Direct PVC figurine sets. They came in handy for the Guardians.

All of the Guardians are made from a head cast from the DC Direct PVC figurine and a Star Wars Legacy Jawa. The tabards are made from inkjet vinyl on thin plasticard. The power battery is a world globe with plastic bowls. The paint is a special metallic car paint

Although I have absolutely no interest in the Green Lantern I think these are tremendous customs

The Green Lantern Corps Part 1

Okay, not the whole Corps, but some of the more memorable and unique members. Dividing this into 4 posts because of the number of figures:

I comissioned Torquemada's cloak from Killuminati at Urban Rev Toys. He wired the hood so that it could be posed up or down. Salaak and Tomar Re's heads are from the PVC figurine set 2. Kilowong is a Superhero Showdown Thing filled in with model filler and a sculpted head.

The Corps Part 2

Some of the more unusual Green Lanterns:

Rot Lop Fan:


Rot Lop Fan is unique within the Corps. He is completely blind and relies on sonar hearing. His ring manifests using sound rather than light. With no concept of light or colour, he is referred to as The F-Sharp Bell.

Apros, Larvox and Charqwep are all completely sculpted using resin and various forms of modelling clay.
